Blue Mountains
The first stop for the week was The Blue Mountains, located about an hour west of Sydney. Awesome landscapes and views for tourists or a bit of serious walking.

Sydney
Despite previously living in Australia for nearly a year, this was my first visit to Sydney. I had preconceived ideas that, although it would be a good city, I wouldn't be a big fan of it. And not for the first time in my life, I was wrong. It was only a quick 48 hours here in the end but it was a very good couple of days.

Melbourne
Four years after leaving Melbourne, I was finally back. I lived in Melbourne for a year, I loved every minute of it and I've wanted to visit again ever since I left. It doesn't have big iconic buildings in other cities like Sydney, London, Rome, New York et al, but Melbourne has a sense of cool I've not experienced anywhere else - perhaps that's why it's always so high on 'most liveable cities in the world' lists.

Fitzroy
Ahh, Fitzroy. My favourite place, in my favourite city, in my favourite country! I lived in Fitzroy for 7 months in 2013/14 and it was the greatest 7 months of my life. Fitzroy has everything - quality street art, incredible coffee & cafes on most corners, independent retail, excellent bars, interesting and unique architecture. Fitzroy will always be the place I want to visit again & again.
